Background
Cloud Foundry UAA is an open-source identity management service that provides authentication and authorization for Cloud Foundry applications. It is responsible for managing user accounts, securing access to resources, and handling authentication flows. The UAA login page allows users to authenticate and access their accounts. However, a vulnerability in versions later than 4.6.0 and prior to 4.19.0 (except 4.10.1 and 4.7.5) allows for open redirects after a successful login attempt.
Vulnerability Detail
The vulnerability arises from the lack of validation of redirect URL values on a form parameter used for internal UAA redirects on the login page. This allows a remote attacker to craft a malicious link that, when clicked, will redirect users to arbitrary websites after a successful login attempt. This can lead to various attacks, such as phishing or redirecting users to malicious websites.
