Background
The Jenkins Snow Commander Plugin is a tool that allows integration between Jenkins and Snow Commander, enabling users to manage and automate tasks related to Snow Commander. It provides functionality for connecting to a webserver using specified credentials and capturing credentials stored in Jenkins. The plugin version 1.10 and earlier are vulnerable to a Missing Authorization issue.
Vulnerability Detail
The Snow Commander Plugin version 1.10 and earlier does not perform permission checks in methods implementing form validation. This allows attackers with Overall/Read permission to connect to an attacker-specified webserver using attacker-specified credentials IDs obtained through another method, capturing credentials stored in Jenkins. Additionally, these form validation methods do not require POST requests, resulting in a cross-site request forgery (CSRF) vulnerability. The vulnerability has a CVSS score of 5.4, indicating a moderate severity level.
