Background
Apache Airflow is an open-source platform used for orchestrating and scheduling workflows. It allows users to define, schedule, and monitor complex workflows as directed acyclic graphs (DAGs) of tasks. The platform provides a web-based user interface (UI) for managing and visualizing workflows. However, prior to version 1.10.13, the Charts and Query View of the old UI (based on Flask-admin) in Apache Airflow were vulnerable to a Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) attack.
Vulnerability Detail
The SSRF vulnerability in Apache Airflow allowed an attacker to make arbitrary requests to internal resources accessible to the server. By exploiting this vulnerability, an attacker could potentially access sensitive information, perform port scanning, or launch attacks against internal systems. This vulnerability was present in versions prior to 1.10.13 of Apache Airflow.
How To Fix
Latest published version: 3.3.2 as of 22 Oct 2026
pip install --upgrade "apache-airflow==3.3.2"
Upgrading to it may include breaking changes; the version below is the minimum fixed release for this vulnerability.
If you need the minimum change
1.10.13
This is the first release that contains the fix.
pip install --upgrade "apache-airflow==1.10.13"
