Background
Tryton is an open-source business application platform written in Python. It provides a set of modules for various business functions such as accounting, inventory management, and project management. Tryton version 5.x before 5.0.1 is affected by a session fixation vulnerability.
Vulnerability Detail
The client in Tryton 5.x before 5.0.1 attempts to establish a connection to the bus in cleartext instead of using encryption under certain circumstances. Although this connection attempt fails, it includes the current session of the user in the header. This session could potentially be stolen by a man-in-the-middle attacker, leading to unauthorized access and potential data compromise.
